Fran is a management accountant working in the voluntary sector (having spent a number of years in the corporate sector working with large organisations like United Utilities and Tui Travel). It was through working with a relatively small charity in Manchester preparing an SROI report that Fran first became interested in social value accounting. Fran now works on a freelance basis in the voluntary sector helping organisations develop business plans, prepare funding applications and develop their accounting processes, with the aim of bringing her corporate sector experience into the voluntary sector to help organisations achieve their potential. Fran is also working towards a PhD at Manchester University researching the future of social value accounting.
