We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Carpenter as our new CEO.
During last five years of working at Social Value UK, Ben has helped to grow and develop a range of membership services, most notably Assurance and Accreditation and SVUK’s involvement in the Impact Management Programme. Working with our membership, Ben has strengthened our representation across private and public sectors, and civil society. Ben has also led on international initiatives with the OECD, World Economic Forum and World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Ben’s background in homelessness, social housing and the built environment, affords him experience that spans sectors and an in-depth knowledge of Social Value accounting. Ben will take forward SVUK’s mission, to change the way society accounts for value.
Ben says, “I am delighted and honoured to lead SVUK at such a critical point. We have a fantastic opportunity to continue shaping the way social value is understood and embedded into the culture and decision making of all organisations. As a membership body we will work together to develop good practice and industry standards. As a movement we must continue with our mission to reduce inequality, environmental degradation and to improve wellbeing.”

Ben will begin his new position as CEO from 1 June.
